Aim
Raising £20k to improve worldwide accessibility to our English language learning platform and to enable us to offer 1000+ more Scholarships
You may not know us, but English language students across the world certainly do. Since we launched our learning platform in 2019, we have delivered over 4 million English language lessons to students across 196 countries.
We are different. Despite being a small, private, self-funded company, Perfectly Spoken is successfully building a growing and loyal global community of English language students online. In the vast majority of cases these are students for whom access to quality self study learning content has not been available or was beyond their reach. We now need to raise funds to further develop the platform and to increase accessibility globally.
In September 2021 we launched our Scholarship Programme, with the specific objective of providing disadvantaged students genuinely free and unlimited access to all our courses. To date more than 1000 students in the UK and across a further 38 countries have benefitted from the Programme and many, many more would like to join.
We are looking to raise £20k
We are now looking to raise £20,000 to help in the next stage of our development, making our platform even more accessible to all English language students and at the same time, expanding our Scholarship Programme.
This will enable us to
- Further invest in technologies to ensure we can keep the current first-rate levels of reliability and protection as we grow globally.
- Enhance our UX/UI (User Experience and User Interface) in our platform. This will enable a deeper, more effective, engaging and interactive learning experience for all.
And to enable us to
- Provide annual scholarship for an additional 1000 learners for 1 year.
- Create and add a new course 'Crossing Borders with English' with additional learning activities, focussing on cross-cultural training in a global world.
- Create an ebook 'Inspiring stories from students in a digital world'.

Perfectly Spoken is the culmination of over 30 years of its founder's experience in English Language Teaching and an exceptional team that is driven by a shared passion to provide high quality English language teaching to students everywhere on any internet connected device.
The Perfectly Spoken approach has expert teachers at the heart of what we do, combining self-study access to structured courses with additional live and interactive practice and all delivered through a fast and intuitive online learning platform.

Helping the less privileged learn English can lead to life-changing opportunities. Since 2019 the company has been working with individual refugees and UK based and international NGOs that look to provide training and support for refugees. The common thread is the same… people who are disadvantaged through no fault of their own are not looking for charity but empowerment. The opportunity to develop English language skills empowers leaners by potentially providing them with a route to life changing opportunities in the fields of study and work
