Sport England: Active Together has provided £1,600 of match funding
We rely heavily on annual fundraisers to help the club survive. Most of our fundraisers this season have had to be cancelled due to Covid!

Who Are We?
Our players are made up of residents of the village and surrounding areas and range in age from 14-45. Players are from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities and we are one of the few clubs that genuinely cater for players looking to get into the game, who maybe havent played much cricket before, if at all! We try to offer 2 fixtures a week, a mid-week nets session and indoor nets once a week over the winter. We also host a charity tournament each season, the last couple of seasons this has been to raise money for Scotty's Little Soldiers (Picture below).

As a small village club we rely heavily on our annual fundraisers to help the club survive. These include organising and running the local bonfire, the village bottle auction and running the BBQ for the community Autumn Show (picture below). Sadly, these large fundraisers have had to be cancelled this year due to Covid, leaving the club out of pocket by nearly £3000. We are attempting the Crowdfunder in order to replace this lost income.
How Will Your Money Help Us?
Money raised from this will help the club maintain and develop our facilities in order to keep offering cricket in our local community. It will also include playing equipment, safety and sanitisation equipment to be provided where required. To be able to survive as a cricket club, it is essential that we complete end of season groundwork and therefore providing suitable facilities for all to use.
Longer term we would like to use some of this funding, and future club income, to improve the quality of the playing fields. As our outfield, and a community playing field, this gets alot of use all year round. Therefore, improving the quality through flattening, re-seeding and additional drainage would benefit both us and the local community.

How You Can Help?
Any level of donation that you are able to donate is very much appreciated, and will massively help our cause in providing a fantastic facility for the community to enjoy. As we are a small club and run by a handful of volunteers, it is key that were raise the money to cover our lost income due to Covid-19.
