PEMeast

Aim

We want to deliver high quality education to help us improve the care of sick children in the East of England region.

Welcome to the PEMEast. We are an educational network for Paediatric Emergency Medicine in the East of England Region.  

The PEMEast Educational Network has been established by Emergency Care and Paediatric Doctors to provide: 

*Regional learning opportunities

*Improve knowledge sharing

*Collaborate to support delivery of high quality emergency care

for all children presenting to the 27 Children’s Accident and Emergency Departments in the region. 

We do this through: 

Monthly educational forums AND twice- yearly full PEM Training Conferences

In our first 3 months, we are have already expanded past the free Zoom account and we don't want to have to charge for sharing knowledge through educational activites.  

Hence, we are crowdfunding for: 

1. A Zoom pro account. This will enable us to host longer educational meetings and would allow >100 participants to engage during regional full day teaching (~£200/yr)

2. A slido engage account. This would enable improved audience engagement (~£100/yr)

3. Paediatric trauma related equipment. Additional funding would enable purchase of appropriate equipment such as manikins and pro-sections to support improvement in procedural skills required to care for sick children involved in accidents. 

4. Booking educational venues. We would like to be able cover the cost of room bookings for potential face to face teaching days for trainees in the region.
