Pedalling Our Way to the European Championships

Aim

This fundraiser aims to raise essential funds to help our talented young karate athletes compete at the European Championships this October.

We are Karate Wales, a passionate team of young competitors who proudly put our small but mighty nation on the karate map. These spectacular children travel across Europe and the UK multiple times each year, representing Wales with pride, discipline, and heart.  

Recently, our athletes returned from the World Championships in Romania with incredible success — one competitor becoming a five‑time World Champion, two others earning their first‑ever World titles, and another bringing home a bronze medal.  

Behind every medal is relentless dedication: these children train 4–5 days a week, while parents juggle second jobs to fund travel, competition fees, and equipment. We receive zero external funding ,every trip, every uniform, every dream is powered by what we raise ourselves.  

Our journey doesn’t stop here. Just 11 weeks after the Worlds, the team will compete at the European Championships in Sheffield, followed by events in Slovakia and Rome, with more destinations ahead next year.
