We're still collecting donations
On the 3rd October 2020 we'd raised £5,300 with 58 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Invest in training for our team of staff and volunteers
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges at Recyke y'bike.
Or workforce is reduced as many of our volunteers are vulnerable and are therefore choosing not to return. For volunteers who have returned a rota system has been implemented so that social distancing can be observed.
We've had to reduce our offer, focusing on bike sales, servicing and repairs which has meant suspending training classes, much of our outreach program and the sale of new and secondhand parts and accessories.
Bike sales continue to be by appointment so that we limit the number of people in the shop. All bikes have been displayed on our Facebook shop page so that buyers can browse in advance.
We've seen a surge in referrals to our free bike scheme for people on low incomes and have dedicated significant resource to meeting demand as best we can.
We're moving into the winter months when we see costs increase and income decrease. Purchasing a reward now will help us to manage our cash flow through the next challenging period.
