Pebbles is 12 and loves sport and being active with her siblings. We’re raising £14,000 for a wheelchair to keep her active and playing.
This fundraising campaign is being run by the Erisort Trust on behalf of Pebbles Sawyer and her family to raise funds for a lightweight specialist wheelchair.
Meet Pebbles
Pebbles Sawyer is 12 years old and lives in Laxay on the Isle of Lewis. She has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair - but she doesn't let that stop her. She plays shinty, used to compete in wheelchair racing, and loves nothing more than heading off on adventures with her brothers and sister.

Here's what Pebbles has to say in her own words:
"I am very active and love to go off on adventures with my brothers and sister, which includes on paths and ground not good for my chair I have now. It makes it hard for me to keep up with them when we are not on flat solid ground. I would love to be able to go and explore lots of places I haven't been able to get to.
I don't let my condition stop me doing anything and just find my own way for things, but I would love to be more free to join my brothers and sister when we go out. We are a very active family but we are a little restricted as I get older and bigger because my mum and dad can't carry me as much if we want to go on ground that my wheelchair is not good on.
I really like to try out new sports. A new chair would help me compete in basketball, tennis, football, and continue to play shinty, which I have been playing now for a year.
I would like to try and live my life doing all the things that keep me fit and make me happy."
What we're fundraising for
We're raising £14,000 for specliased powered, all-terrain wheelchair that can handle rough ground, beaches, moorland paths, and everything else the Isle of Lewis has to offer.
GTM Endeavour

The GTM Endeavour and all the electrics required, will mean Pebbles can:
Why now?
As Pebbles gets older and bigger, her parents can no longer carry her over difficult ground the way they used to. Her current wheelchair simply isn't built for the landscape she lives in. The GTM Endeavour will give her back the freedom to explore - on her own terms.
Who's behind this campaign?
This fundraiser is being organised by the Erisort Trust (Scottish Charity SC031813), a local charity supporting the communities of Pairc and Kinloch. Pebbles lives in Laxay, right in the heart of the area the Trust serves, and has been a volunteer with the community.
The Trust is administering the funds on behalf of the local community to ensure full transparency and proper oversight.
Aline Community Woodland is owned and managed by Erisort Trust, and the Sawyer family are regular volunteers there. As the Trust doesn't have its own social media presence, updates about the fundraiser will be shared through Aline's channels.
What happens if we raise more than £14,000?
Any funds raised beyond the cost of the wheelchair will be donated to Pebbles to support her education and sporting activities.
How you can help
Every donation, no matter how small, gets Pebbles closer to her adventure chair. Please give what you can and share this page with anyone who might want to help.
Thank you from Pebbles and her family - and from the whole Pairc community.
