The Rugby Football League Community Trust was launched in February 2025. It has an ongoing mission for everyone to access and experience the life – changing social impact opportunities Rugby League has to offer. Physical Disability Rugby League is one of the most impactful programmes within the sport and the opportunity for England to defend the World Cup, first contested in 2022, will offer a once in a lifetime experience for participants, but also increased visibility and opportunity for more disabled people to access the sport.

We are Crowdfunding to help this squad of players take part in the Festival of World Cups. Players within the squad have a range of identified impairments including Cerebral Palsy, Limb Loss or Difference, Multiple-Sclerosis, acquired Traumatic Brain injury and other life impacting disabilities. But despite this, all have shown the fortitude to be recognised as athletes first and have been selected to represent their country in the second iteration of the PDRL World Cup.

HOW WE WILL SPEND THE MONEY RAISED

A tour of this magnitude comes at a considerable cost and each individual is responsible for raising their own funds over the coming months. The Rugby Football League Community Trust wish to help these individuals achieve their dream of participating in the PDRL World Cup and play its part in keeping the costs to a minimum for the participants. Costs such as return flights, accommodation, insurance, food and all kit and equipment will be covered by your support. All donations received will be shared equally between the participants to assist them reaching their target.

COMMUNITY IMPACT.

During the previous PDRL World Cup the sport increased its participation totals significantly, meaning more people living with a disability were able tackle the inequalities faced in life, increase social justice and social mobility through participation in Rugby League. By assisting the Rugby Football League Community Trust, you can play a pivotal role in transforming more lives through sport and bringing visibility of the opportunities available to individuals whom would benefit greatly from the power of Rugby League.
