Help me run a strong, local campaign for Glasgow Baillieston and Shettleston. Every donation, big or small, helps our voices be heard.
I am standing as a Scottish Labour & Co-operative candidate to represent the people of Glasgow Baillieston and Shettleston in the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood. It would be a privilege to continue serving my community and to carry the voices, concerns and ambitions of local people into the next parliamentary term.
I have a strong track record of fighting for my constituents on the issues that matter most to everyday life — from housing and health to childcare and community safety. My work has always been rooted in listening to residents, understanding the challenges they face, and pushing for practical change that improves lives.
Over the years, I have campaigned on a wide range of issues, including the need for 24/7 CCTV coverage across Glasgow to improve public safety, making card payments available in all taxis to ensure accessibility and convenience, and securing shorter waiting times for mental health treatment. I have consistently argued for better role models for boys in schools, a more visible police presence in our communities, and improved access to public toilets for people with medical conditions.
I have also been a strong advocate for fair housing, including the introduction of rent caps in Glasgow to protect tenants from soaring costs and housing insecurity.
These campaigns reflect the everyday concerns raised with me by constituents, and I am determined to continue taking these fights forward. I want to ensure that the voices of Glasgow Shettleston and Baillieston are heard clearly and confidently in the Scottish Parliament.
Running a political campaign, however, is costly. Any support you are able to give - whether large or small - is genuinely appreciated and will help power a campaign focused on fairness, dignity and delivering for our communities.
Rules:
Shettleston CLP may contact you using the information you supply in order to discharge their legal responsibilities to ensure donations are from permissible sources. Donations to meet the costs of candidate election expenses are regulated by the Representation of the People Act 1983 and the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. By making a donation to this campaign I understand and accept the following:
- I am donating to the Shettleston Constituency Labour Party.
- I must use my own funds to make a donation to the Labour Party.
- If I donate more than £500, checks will be made to ensure my name is listed on the UK electoral register (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). Any single donations of £500 or under are not regulated donations under electoral law, and therefore the donor would not be required to be on the UK Electoral Register.
- If I donate more than £2,230 to a Constituency Labour Party or more than £11,180 to the national Labour Party in a calendar year, my name and the amount of the donation will be published on the Electoral Commission's website, although my home address will not be made public.
- Donations are not tax-deductible.
- Donations made above the reporting threshold will be available for public inspection on request, although my home address will not be made public.
This donation facility is provided for individuals to make donations to the Shettleston CLP. UK companies, limited liability partnerships, trade unions and unincorporated associations may also make donations.
Permissibility checks will be carried out on individual donors in compliance with the rules laid out by the Electoral Commission on donations in election campaigns. You will be contacted by the Shettleston CLP Secretary to obtain this information. Donor details may be published.
