Passing Fancies is evolving and we want you to be a part of it.
Our story started in Digbeth, a space full of heart, promise, and learning. We loved it deeply, but we knew it wasn’t the forever fit. So, we sat down with the team and made the decision to take everything we’ve built: the passion, the people, the ideas and began creating something bigger. Something that truly feels like us.
Now, we’re rebuilding from the ground up in the Jewellery Quarter, and we’re almost there.
A Bar in Three Acts
Passing
We've designed our ground floor to be as comfortable and accessible as possible. Think warm lights, soft seats and a food and drink offering that pushes quality as far as that space allows. We want this place to be yours, no matter the occasion.
Fancies
The First floor is where we get truly curious. This is where we will be flexing a bit more of our 'wanky' bartender muscles. The menu we have written has it all: local artists, first of it's kind presentations and of course it's all rooted from our true love, Birmingham.
The Lab
Without this Kickstarter we were going to keep this extremely quiet but in the spirit of letting all the cats out the bag this is what we need the additional injection for. It's our tucked away haven to all things delicious. We will be using it for our mise en place programme, private tastings and surprise weekend experiences.
A little more info
We’ve already poured everything we have into this project our time, our initial budget, our souls. But the reality of building from scratch is brutal. Construction delays, rising costs, and the attention to detail we refuse to compromise on mean we’re just short of the finish line.
We need to raise £15,000 to get the doors open.
Every pound raised goes right into making this venue as incredible as the people who’ll fill it.
