Anton Wright, Head Coach, Clare College Cambridge and World record holder http://www.rowtheamazon.com/ along with Dr Mark de Rond, Reader in Strategy & Organisation, Cambridge Judge Business School have recruited six 15 year old pupils from Parkside Academy Cambridge with the aim of re floating and repairing their Amazon rowing boat to use on their own adventure rowing the length of the river Thames.
The six-boy team will begin their journey in Lechlade Glos on March 30th this year and it is expected it will take them around a week to complete their adventure in Gravesend taking them straight through the heart of London.
The boys all come from Year 10 and have been selected following strict criteria none of the boys have ever rowed before, none of the boys come from a background where rowing is normally accessible and all of the boys would benefit from focusing more in their studies.
Anton says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a group of boys to complete a potentially life changing experience, We have already seen a positive change in many of the boys both in the project and at school.”

Can I get my logo on the boat?
Yes you can, we are currently looking for that elusive 'Big Sponsor' that we can promote and support, if a large company came forward and helped us then we would gladly plaster half the boat with your companies details.
even small sponsorship will get your logo on the boat though, along with Cambridge University and other supporters
This project successfully funded on 26th March 2015
