Parkside Centre refurbishment

Aim
We are going to be making the centre usable again. The building has not been used in 8 years and we want to make it a hub for all to access
We started as a group of people committed to helping the community. An opportunity came to take on the lease of the building and we jumped.
The area needs a community space and we are committed to making it freely available to everyone up to 99 years young, and with as many free activities as possible.
Where the centre has been left for 8 years we have lots of cleaning and work to do to get it to the spec the community can be around of. There is lots of furniture that has been left and we need to clear it out before we begin. It will need a new floor, paint, new furniture and the electrics rewired and reconnected to bring in line with current regulations
We currently run a weekly youth club in a local business premise and the children would benefit from a more specific space, as would the residents who need a warm space and a chat.
