Aim

The club need to make significant improvements to the clubhouse to create female player changing rooms and improve facilities for all

Who are we?

Pannal CC have been playing cricket in and around the village of Pannal, North Yorkshire since 1874, Whether you want to play, help out, or just watch, you will always be made very welcome at our small but friendly club.

We are only a small volunteer led village cricket club but with a huge history of success and producing an array of talented cricketers. Our players have gone on to play representative cricket at Nidderdale, North Yorkshire and Yorkshire age group level. We even have representation at Yorkshire Diamonds, so we know what it takes to breed talent.

With close to 300 members across all our junior girls, boy and senior teams, we need to upgrade some of our facilities to match the ambitions of our players.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are fortunate to have a thriving club, with one of the most successful junior sections in the area. We cater for children from the age of 5 upwards and consistently have over 220 children participating in cricket on a weekly basis throughout the season. We were the first club in the junior league to enter a dedicated girls team, who competitively competed against boys and mixed sex teams and even made it to a cup semi final in 2022.

Quite simply, our aim is to give these kids every opportunity possible to excel and be the best cricket version of themselves they can be. This doesn't just stop at the juniors may I add, but, our Senior teams and other cricketers in our local community.

We are not fortunate enough to have a daily revenue stream coming into our club like others around us, so we need your support to help make our dream a reality.

We are committed to providing cricket for all and all are welcome. In order to do this it is essential that we continue to improve the club's facilities to accommodate the growing numbers.

We also have a growing ladies section and many thriving junior girls teams that we are keen to nurture and promote, alongside junior team and senior teams. The current facilities, in particular the toilets and changing rooms are dated, in need or repair and improvement as they are not fit for purpose to meet the demands of our growing cricket club.

We would like to build an extension to the clubhouse and refit the changing rooms to create additional female only facilities and meet league requirements, as well as building a new toilet block to ensure that we can continue to safely provide the right environment for all patr1771170064_ground_background_image.jpgons of the club,

How we’ll spend the money raised

We are planning to install suitable toilet facilities, including accessible facilities, as the current facilities are inadequate for the number of juniors and parents using the facilities. The club really need complete this project ahead of the coming season in April 2026. The money raised will be used to pay for the builders and materials.

We have managed to secure a conditional grant award from Sport England, if we raise £10,250, Sport England will give us a grant of £10,250 to reach our target. We need your donations to unlock this funding and make the project happen

Community impact

We want the project to provide the foundation to grow and develop young cricketers and a permanent female team at Pannal Cricket Club. We want junior cricketers and their parents to feel welcome and well looked after so the children can enjoy the game of cricket and the exercise and community it provides in a suitable environment.

In addition, we want to continue to support the wider community by providing suitable facilities for community events, such as the village gala and local school events.
