The Cause
I'm running London Marathon 2024 for BHF, to mark almost 30 years since my Dad died of a sudden, unexpected heart attack aged just 47. This was back in the 1990s - long before defibrillators became as widely available as they now are, thanks to BHF campaigning and funding.
I’m also a type 1 diabetic, which as well as making the marathon a bit tougher, means I’m 2-3 times more likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases.
By buying a ticket, you’ll help BHF treat and prevent heart disease - which causes more deaths than anything else worldwide. You'll also be able to win some amazing prizes!
