OVTOG Fundraiser with Phoenix Auctions

Aim
To support youth in Blackpool which is one of the most socially and economically deprived areas of the UK achieve better outcomes.
Blackpool is beautiful, we love it but we would be lying if we didn't admit it has problems.
I think when most people envisage Blackpool they see bright lights, Blackpool Tower, The Pleasure Beach and our wonderful theatres and attractions and yes we have them but also a host of problems both social and economical.
Blackpool tops most charts for social and economic deprivation with 10'000 families living on or below the poverty line, one of the highest looked after children population, the highest risk of suicide, the lowest life expectancy and statistically one of the worst places to grow up. As adults we cope, we adapt and we move along but this effects one demographic the most who are powerless to change things and that is our young people.
Young Lives Blackpool (CIC) is the parent company of OVTOG or Only Visible To Other Ghosts. We are a brand with a difference. We have no shareholders, pay no wages and take nothing from OVTOG. 100% of the profit from every item goes back into ideas, initiatives and programs highlighted as needed by youth in our 'Participation Group'. Pure social good today and always. We hope in a few years to hand the brand over to youth to run as both a living wage initiative and a continued provider of social good.
Getting grants and such is incredibly difficult especially for something that is considered out of the box thinking but we like to do things differently and appreciate there are others who need the help just as much as us.
We also allow youth on the website to show off their marketable skills for free on our Creatives Corner', here they can link their socials and start making money form advertising on our website even if there enterprise conflicts with ours. We simply want young people to become entrepreneurial and succeed.
We are currently being helped by the wonderful people at Phoenix Auctions and the fantastic Matt Huskinson and his partner Charlotte who are running a comic book auction for us. They along with the partners and wonderful members from the Collector Cartel and comic book community are supporting us all the way so if you have some comic books to donate please pop over to their facebook page or website at Phoenix-Auctions.com
All money raise from Phoenix and this crowdfunder will go directly to support what our young people need in the community as we feel they are a force for good and know best what they and their generation are going through. If you walk back a few streets from the piers in Blackpool you will see the task that we are up against and if anybody ever wants a walk around please let me know and I will glad to meet up and have a chat about the almost insurmountable task we are up against. However, we don't believe in no win scenarios and with your help we can support Youth to make Blackpool better for now and future generations.
