We are aiming to raise some money to help make the dream of a pump track a reality in East Renfrewshire
NeSt community council (Netherlee and Stamperland) are working to bring a pump track to Overlee Park in Clarkston and have been collaborating with key stakeholders and the community to make this happen. We have some major funding secured and are looking for your help to reach our goal of approximately £360,000 to turn this into a reality.
First things first, what is a pump track? Put simply, it is a track that is suitable for all wheels – skateboards, blades, bikes and more! It is an inclusive facility and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle. See our website for more details Clarkston pump track
With this facility we are confident that this would provide more than just a track, it is an asset that the whole community can use. It is a safe space to practice all wheeled activities and is free to use.
We have been working hard to secure some investment and are proud to confirm the following funding so far:
£100,000 - SportScotland
£68,800 - Scottish Government Place Based Investment Programme
£88,000 - East Renfrewshire Council
We are incredibly grateful to Stamperland Residents Association who have donated £5000 towards our funding target.
We are aiming to raise £10,000 locally to be able to meet our overall target to build the first pump track in East Renfrewshire.
We are in the process of seeking further funding to meet the full cost of the facility and will update this page with our progress as well as through our social media channels.
Please donate if you can and share widely to help bring this exciting new facility to the area - any support is so appreciated and will help make this facility the best it can be.
