Aim
We are taking part in a parachute jump to raise money to allow us to keep hosting free events and activities for our local community.
Outsider was set up by Ellie and Rob in early 2026. We were finding it increasingly hard to find affordable activities we could do together as a family, and decided to address this by hosting our own. So far we have put on a community litter pick and some disco runs. We are hoping to use any funds raised to host regular family trail runs and disco runs, orienteering and treasure hunt events, and one-off sessions in things such as yoga, self-defence and bush craft skills.
On April 24th we are going to do a parachute jump to raise money and awareness for our organisation. We have fully funded the jump from our own personal bank accounts, but this seemed like a great opportunity to ask for some sponsorship or donations to help us grow Outsider and make our events a regular thing. I (Ellie) am pretty scared of heights so any incentives to actually commit to the jump will be greatly appreciated.
Here is some feedback from our events so far...
"Being able to run at night and not be alone in a group that embraces all abilities and ages. And it was something different! I love running but it was so much fun to have a spin on it. There are lots of running groups but this appealed because it had a unique selling point being a rave run with fancy dress."
"My daughter wants to do more events like this with me. And that's really positive encouragement for doing more outdoor activities."
