We need to improve our outdoor practicing facilities as part of our ambition to have one of the best cricket facilities in the North.

Carlisle Cricket Club is a friendly, sociable and inclusive club. We have 3 senior weekend teams and one midweek team. Our junior section has five teams across under 11s, 13s and 15s as well large numbers of all stars and dynamos. The first eleven having been successful in the cumbria league have pushed into the Northern Pyramid. All our teams are having a successful 2025 summer and completing at all levels.
In the last 18 months we have also started developing our girls teams within the junior section something we will look to continue into the future.

In 2026 we plan to start a fourth senior team to transition the juniors into senior cricket, As well as continuing the development of the junior and girls sections.
The existing outdoor practice nets are in need of refurbishment and improvement as the use of these facilities are increasing. The net surface is damaged as a result of increased usage and the run up areas are uneven and dangerous.

The outdoor nets are an essential part of the training and development of the club and local cricketers.
We are clubmark accreditated and are always looking at ways we can improve our facilities and put them to the best use.
Every penny raised will be used in the refurbishment of the practise facilities at the club.
We are raising a total of £30,000 to modernise and refurbish our four-lane practice facility to increase the attractiveness of the club to prospective junior and senior players.
More importantly, it will assist the club's retention of junior and senior players by providing increased on-site facilities and subsequently allowing coaches and leaders to provide year-round coaching sessions.
Carlisle CC are a clubmark recognised not for profit organisation and plays an active part in the county-wide cricketing community, and we are a valued part of the local community.
We host a number of other community events which we plan to grow in 2026 increasing the need for safe and functional facitilites these events include our:
These are safe, family-friendly and inclusive activities and events for members and local residents to enjoy spending time together. There's something for everyone.
The cricket training facilities are not just used by the teams based at Carlisle Cricket Club. They are also used by the district and county age group representatives including the county over 50s team.
Carlisle cricket club are proud to have developed junior cricketers who have representated the county in first class and one day competitions.
