Help raise the costs for publishing 'Out of Isolation' so in turn we can raise money for Shout 85258, a crucial mental health charity

Welcome to my crowdfunding page to raise the costs of publishing 'Out of Isolation'

Out of Isolation is a collection of writing from the COVID-19 pandemic. From famous names such as Julian Fellowes, Tom Felton, Derren Brown and Alexander McCall Smith to historians, travel authors, poets, screenwriters, actors, the Dean of Canterbury and a junior doctor, the pieces range from personal reflections on life during the pandemic, to poems on love, to the diary of a journalist in Goma. This interesting and wide-ranging collection provides a fascinating insight into what was being written whilst the world was in isolation.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Shout 85258, a mental health charity that uses a 24/7 text message support service for anyone struggling to cope.

I have partnered with Unicorn Publishing Group, who will be marketing and distributing the book worldwide. However, I need your help to raise the production costs so that it can get off the ground and to the point where it can be marketed!

Why I need to fundraise:

Your kind donation will go towards the costs of printing the anthology, so that Unicorn can distribute it globally. Publishing a book is expensive and the money will go directly towards all the costs involved to get the book onto the shelves.

If we succeed in raising the money, we aim to publish the book on the 26th March, which will be two years since the start of the first lockdown.

If we end up raising more than is needed, the extra money will be donated to Shout.

Why Shout 85258?

During the pandemic, I have found that many conversations I've had with family, friends and acquaintances have involved discussion of an increased struggle with mental health. It became hugely apparent that these past two years have had an enormous effect on mental health and therefore charities such as Shout must be under an increased amount of pressure.
