Scotland’s place belongs in Europe - and yet, we’re paying the price for a Tory and Labour backed Brexit that Scotland never voted for.
Young people denied our opportunities. Our economy hampered. Workers' rights and environmental protections reduced. Enough is enough.
Scotland desperately needs to be back in the EU and the only way to get there is with independence. A vital part of it is building international support among key political parties and the leaders of tomorrow, so they can become advocates for Scotland in their countries.
To do this, the YSI (Young Scots for Independence) are organising the biggest ever youth-led international conference on Scottish independence and Scotland's place in Europe. And we need your help to deliver it.
Scotland is passionately internationalist, and the SNP is the only party that offers EU membership - but we need to keep demonstrating our internationalist, European values to our partners and exchange ideas for a better Scotland, as well as a better Europe.
That's why we are bringing delegations from 9 European youth political parties to Stirling, on May 17-18, to discuss, learn, explore and connect. There will be panel discussions and Q&As with high profile SNP politicians and other speakers, as well as workshops and opportunities for networking.
In the 25th year of devolution and in the 10th anniversary year of the independence referendum, this is a really important time. We need to build the SNP's international links and spread the positive message of independence in Scotland and across Europe. Your donations will be key to delivering a successful, positive event that will make a real impact and build lasting connections.
- £150 could cover a European delegate’s full conference experience
- £100 could cover marketing materials to display our party’s European ties in a post-Brexit world and make the case for independence, ahead of the upcoming general election
- £75 could cover two nights of accommodation for our European delegates
We're immensely grateful for any donation - big or small - to keep the light on for Scotland in Europe.
Disclaimer: donations may also be used to support other YSI activity.
