Our election fighting fund

Aim

This is to raise funds for the final weeks of our local election campaign

We've delivered tens of thousands of leaflets, knocked on thousands of doors and had conversations with hundreds of voters since last summer's crowdfunder.

The money you gave us then has allowed us to keep track of all our conversations and build up a database of supporters which gives us a real chance of beating Labour in Clissold, Homerton, London Fields and Victoria and electing six independent socialist councillors in Hackney for the first time.

We've developed a joint campaign with Hackney Greens, and we've registered and launched as a political party. Now we need your help with the final stages of the campaign.

We're asking for £2500 to print posters for our supporters to display, leaflets for door knocking and stalls, a snazzy election address that volunteers will deliver to the over 20k homes in our target wards, letters for postal voters, and Get Out The Vote flyers for polling day. We're also raising money to print the full version of our manifesto and a leaflet summarising our policy agenda, and to hire venues and buy refreshments for meetings where voters can tell us what issues matter to them.

And finally, the legal stuff...

We're asking for your name and address to enable permissibility checks to be undertaken in compliance with electoral law. To do these, we may need to contact you to ask for further details. If you cannot be identified, or if you are an impermissible donor, then your donation will have to be returned.
