About Other Space Arts
We are Other Space Arts (OSA), a Windsor-based Community Interest Company with a passion for the arts, bringing people together, and great food. Our mission is simple yet powerful:
Arts: Providing a platform for grassroots creatives
With so many small venues under threat around the UK, it’s more important than ever to provide a space for emerging artists to grow and connect with audiences.
Community: A space to connect and collaborate
Amazing things happen when people are given space to share ideas and work together. We want artists and creatives to meet at OSA and develop ideas together.
Also, OSA is as much about the people in the room as it is about the performance on stage. We’re here to provide a space for communities to connect, whether that’s over a coffee, during a gig, or at a workshop.
Food: Plant-based food that everyone can enjoy
For us, food isn’t just fuel—it’s a way to connect, share values, and create a more sustainable, inclusive community. As Windsor’s only fully plant-based café and restaurant, we’re proud to provide a welcoming option for everyone—from those exploring plant-based food for the first time to those who are already vegan.
Our Vision
In late 2024, we were thrilled to secure a new home at Kardelton House on the Vansittart Estate in Windsor. This large, industrial space is full of potential, and we’re determined to transform it into a cosy, creative hub—a welcoming venue for art, live music, community events, and incredible food.
What We’ve Achieved So Far
We’ve already made great progress:
- Made the stairs safe.
- Created two new seating areas.
- Begun a full rewiring of the electrics.
Next, we’ll:
- Refurbish the kitchen.
- Install new lighting, speakers, and heating.
- Paint and prepare the space for opening.
Our café is set to open in mid-February, but the work won’t stop there. By spring, we aim to convert the upstairs studio into a live music venue and kick off an exciting programme of evening events. During the day, this space will also host community groups and workshops, making it a versatile hub for creativity and connection.
How Can You Help?
To achieve our vision, we’re reaching out to our community for support. Your contributions will directly fund essential renovations, helping us bring this ambitious project to life. Together, we can create a space that embodies the OSA spirit of creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
Our Story
Founded by local creatives with extensive experience in community-focused events like the Music & Words Club, Windsor Fringe, and International Women’s Day celebrations, OSA is built on a love for bringing people together. Moving into Kardelton House represents the next big step in our journey to create a space where artists and the community can connect, collaborate, and thrive.
