This month, Oswaldo needs funding for a Taekwondo championship following his knee operation. Plus a new laptop for his design qualification.
Hi everyone, my name is Ocira Oswaldo.
A prestigious Taekwondo competition (WT President’s Cup Africa 2025) is set to take place from 25th-27th of this month in Ethiopia. This event is a golden opportunity for me to showcase my skills in that sport following my successful knee operation, to gain further experience, and to represent my community with pride.
However, to make this dream a reality, I need your support. We are raising funds to cover:
Registration Fees – To ensure I can officially participate.
Local Transportation – To get me safely to and from the venue.
Every contribution, big or small, will bring us one step closer to standing on the competition stage. Your generosity will not only support me but also fuel the spirit of Taekwondo in our community.
Thank you for believing in me. With your help, i will make this competition a success!
As well as this, following my Diploma, I am an aspiring interior designer with a big passion for transforming spaces and bringing creativity to life. I'm reaching out with a humble request to ask for your support in helping me purchase a laptop – something essential for me to continue growing in my career.
Interior design is more than just a dream for me –it’s my calling. But in today’s world, having access to a reliable laptop isn’t optional; it’s necessary. From using design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop to building portfolios, handling client presentations, and exploring new trends online, a laptop is at the heart of everything I do.
Right now, I’m limited in what I can accomplish because I don’t have a personal laptop that meets the demands of my work. This challenge has slowed down my progress and made it difficult to pursue opportunities, develop my skills, and deliver projects the way I know I can.
That’s why we’ve included in this fundraiser raising enough to get a laptop that will help me:
Your contribution – no matter the amount – would mean the world to me. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with your friends, family, or anyone who believes in supporting creatives and young professionals.
Thank you so much for helping me take this step forward. Your support is not just helping me get a laptop – it’s helping me build my future.
With gratitude,
Ocira Oswaldo
Nick adds:
I fully support Oswaldo in both these enterprises. The laptop we bought him when he started his higher education studies, was eventually not quite up to the job, although it just about got him through and he was reluctant to make further requests from the sponsor at the time. Covid-19 caused an interruption and a change of course as well – long story.
We need the money for the Taekwondo meet by 22nd April (tight schedule I know – I delayed putting this up due to illness) which will cost US $440, valued today at £345 on Western Union. We are expecting to be able to get a suitable reconditioned laptop for 3.3 million Uganda Shillings, GBP £730 at an average of recent rates. We will keep the fundraiser open for a while for this, but it is much needed.
