Win an original framed seascape and help support farming families facing an incredibly tough year. Every entry really does help.
The Prize
I’m giving away an original framed oil seascape, “Ebb and Flow”, painted by me here in North Devon. Its 90cmx 90cm and will be framed in a white wooden frame.
It’s a large, atmospheric piece inspired by our wild Atlantic coastline — full of movement, changing light and that slightly stormy beauty I’m forever trying to capture in paint.
The painting will be professionally framed and ready to hang, and there will be just one winner.
Once the the name has been drawn on September 30th the painting can either be collected from my Studio in Croyde or I can help arrange delivery
The Cause
Living in rural North Devon, farming is part of the landscape and part of our community. And right now, many farming families are having an extraordinarily difficult time. I grew up around farms and spent Saturday's working on local farm. My wonderful Step father was an incredibly hard working farmer and I know first hand the difficulties in a normal year. This year is exceptionally bad.
After hearing more and more about what farmers are facing this summer, I wanted to do something practical to help. They work so hard to provide the nation with food, I wanted to do something to show gratitude. Painting is what I have to give — so I thought, why not give away one of my paintings and see what we can collectively turn it into?
Rather than simply selling it, I’m hoping lots of people might put a small amount into the pot for the chance to take it home.
All the money raised through this prize draw will go to The Devon Farmers Benevolent Fund to provide direct support to farming families in need.
If enough of us join in, a £10 entry here and there could become something genuinely significant.
And somebody gets a rather lovely painting at the end of it. ❤️
