Options In Life provides advocacy and support for individuals who have a learning disability and complex additional needs, and those who care for them. We promote education, training and healthy living, whilst helping our young people to develop personal and life skills. Our aim is to bring out the best in people by supporting them to make friends, develop social interaction and communication skills, build self esteem and confidence and to help them to realise their own potential.

Options in Life supports adults with additional support needs and their families across Fife. We aim to enable our service users to take part in a wide range of activities, make new friends, gain skills and have a lot of fun!
Established more than ten years ago, Options has grown steadily and we now offer a range of activities throughout the week. These include the Recreation Programme, which runs four days a week and offers service users the opportunity to regularly meet and socialise with a group of peers while taking part in a wide range of activities from water sports to animal handling.
We also run an Employability Project, where service users experience different activities with an aim to developing skills and discovering new interests. Our pop up cafe provides the opportunity for gaining work experience in a real work environment.
Seasonal activities such as cycling evenings, arts and crafts clubs and evening cookery classes promote socialising, acquiring new skills and having fun!
Our current big project has been the purchase of our very own premises in Cupar. We're currently working on renovating the building into a hub for our activities, a place where we can continue to develop and which offers a safe space for our service users and their families.
Whatever project is the best fit for them, we aim to provide our service users with opportunities to meet new people and make friends, try out new experiences and grow in confidence. It's important to us that our service users have opportunities to develop skills, take part in fulfilling activities and enjoy themselves to the fullest.
