On Your Side needs your support to ensure its future!
On Your Side is the first and only UK-wide support and reporting service dedicated to standing by East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities facing racism or hate. Since its launch in August 2022, On Your Side has dedicated over 4,000 hours of support, standing alongside more than 600 individuals from the ESEA community who have endured racism and discrimination.
From protecting victims' rights to helping them access vital resources—such as mental health support, legal guidance, help with police reporting, domestic abuse services, and employment rights advice—On Your Side has not just provided assistance; it has transformed lives!

Help us continue this life-changing work!
We are deeply grateful to the UK Government for its continued support. Over the past three years, the government's funding has empowered us to build a strong foundation and deliver this much-needed service.
As we transition to a more sustainable funding model, we urgently need to raise at least £100,000. Without your urgent help, many individuals may lose access to the support they desperately need.

Voices of Resilience
Step into these inspiring stories of resilience and empowerment, where the profound impact of On Your Side’s work comes to life.
Jane - wrongfully prosecuted after being racially harassed
For months, my neighbor's harassment and racial abuse escalated into physical violence, targeting both my home and business, causing severe financial and emotional strain. While the police charged my neighbor with racially aggravated assault, they also falsely accused us of criminal damage based on the neighbor’s claims, causing immense stress.
My On Your Side caseworker tirelessly advocated for me, ensuring my reports were addressed, securing legal support, and accompanying me through court proceedings. They also arranged mental health resources, giving me strength during this difficult time.
After nearly a year of fear and uncertainty, all charges against me were dropped. With On Your Side's help, I’ve regained a sense of safety.
Alan - experienced racial & homophobic violence
For years, I endured relentless harassment and violence from my neighbors. The abuse was unimaginable including one physical assault that left me partially blinded due to permanent retina damage. Despite providing evidence to the police and local authorities, nothing was done to protect me. I lived in constant fear, feeling unsafe in my own home and resorting to sleeping on friends’ sofas to avoid further danger.
At my breaking point, I turned to On Your Side. They assigned me a caseworker who truly understood my situation, worked tirelessly to secure me a safe new home, and helped me navigate the justice system, helping me organise my evidence and accompanying me to police interviews.
Thanks to On Your Side, I now live in a peaceful and secure environment, free from the fear that once consumed me.
Doris and Ethan - mother and son overcoming school bullies
My son Ethan was struggling with persistent racial bullying at school, which severely affected his mental health and led him to avoid attending classes altogether. Despite raising concerns, the school failed to take the issue seriously.
When I reached out to On Your Side, they immediately assigned us a casework advocate. Their team took swift action, reporting the incidents to the police, organizing crucial meetings with the school, and providing emotional support and resources to help my son cope.
Thanks to their unwavering dedication, my son has not only reintegrated into school but also begun to rebuild his social life with newfound confidence. I am deeply grateful for On Your Side’s incredible support!
These stories are powerful reminders of the strength found in solidarity and the hope that compassionate care can bring. With your support, we can continue this vital work and ensure that no one faces hate or racism alone.
