My working experience with adults is that majority are keen to learn if they are shown how or where to start from. They do not want to make mistakes; they would rather want to present work that is going to pass or has less mistakes. Many asked me to send or show them examples of the previous students’ assignments from which they can learn. They were sent samples of previous students’ assignment drafts containing my feedbacks showing the errors made and how to correct them to improve the work. I observed that those who received and read previous students’ assignment drafts with feedbacks become more confident and are keen to start writing their assignments compared to those who do not. The produced assignment drafts of those who receive and read previous students’ drafts feedbacks with improvement suggestions produce better quality work than of those who do not.
I concluded that this is supporting argument that adult students learn from previous students’ mistakes and provided improvement suggestion feedbacks and through these, they acquire knowledge, understanding, skills and competences and use them to improve their own assignments writing and enhances their confidence, courage, and self-belief which in turn help them to settle in their nursing courses quicker.
Therefore, I would like to write books using previous students’ feedbacks, that will support adult distance and online learning nursing students and the money being raised is for paying the publication of these books. Thanks for your help in advance.
