For the past few years, Ongar's Christmas Lights and Festive Celebration have brought thousands of people together to celebrate the start of the festive season. Families, friends, local businesses, community groups and visitors have all helped make the event one of the highlights of the Ongar calendar.

Now we're asking for your support once again to ensure the magic continues in 2026.

Unlike many people assume, the Christmas Lights event isn't funded by a large organisation. It relies heavily on fundraising, sponsorship, donations and the incredible support of our local community.

Every year, costs continue to rise, from lighting and electrical works to entertainment, staging, safety measures, barriers, promotion and event infrastructure.
