Aim: To raise money for Ongar Town to compete with the stunning light displays of neighbouring towns
This year the official turning on of the lights is back Friday 26th November and we would like to make it bigger and better.
As you know, a lot of time and effort is needed to get the Christmas lights set up each year and we are forever indebted to the wonderful volunteers who do this work. There is also a significant cost to purchasing and running the lights and this is where we need the help of our community - both near and far.
Ongar Town Forum will continue their great work and put up what lights we have. But wouldn't it be wonderful if can add more. This appeal is to support the cost of lighting up our town this year and bringing some joy to our wonderful community in Town.
Last year we raised an amazing amount and replaced all the icicles lights to beautiful white lights this year we want to put even more lights up on shops and lights on the lampposts. This year would be the most expensive year going forward as every lamppost needs to surveyed, and new electrical components put into place and then obviously the purchasing of the lights. So we have a huge task of raising £10,000
We appreciate all the generosity and support. If you are a business and would like to make a significant donation and be a sponsor of the lights please do get in touch.
