One room house extension for my disabled daughter

Aim

We need to build a one room extension to our house so that our disabled daughter can come home from hospital and receive her care at home.

Ruby is 14 years old. She was born with a rare genetic disorder. She has Microcephaly, Polymicrogyria, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and intellectual disabilities. 

After recent surgery to correct her scoliosis at the Evelina Children's Hospital in London, Ruby was admitted to the paediatric intensive care unit with breathing problems. Ruby's severe neurological conditions have deteriorated to such an extent that she can no longer breath unaided. After three months of non invasive ventilation on a BIPAP machine, it is now clear that she will need ventilation for the rest of her life. A plan has been put in place to train both myself and Ruby's mum, Leanne, to use the machines that she will need to keep her alive. The medical staff say that if we can provide the space at home for Ruby and her machines, she could come home in around four months time. Unfortunately we don't have the room. She was sharing a room with her disabled brother before going into hospital. Not only is this room not sufficient in size for her future needs but part of Ruby's future care package will include a nurse to be with her at home. Having a child in the room that does not come under the nurses care plan causes numerous problems and most companies will not supply a nurse in these cases. Our only option is to build a small bedroom for Ruby. Unfortunately we do not have the money to do that and so I am hoping to raise some money so that we can bring Ruby home.
