Aim

Support ONE OUT ONE IN—a Scottish short film giving a voice to care-experienced young people through authentic storytelling.

We are ONE MORE ROUND FILMS LTD, an independent Scottish film company passionate about telling powerful, authentic stories that matter. Founded by filmmakers with backgrounds in social care and the creative industries, we believe film can entertain, challenge perceptions and spark important conversations.

Our latest project, ONE OUT ONE IN, is a gritty, emotionally charged short film exploring trauma, grief, loss and redemption through the lives of young people connected to Scotland’s care system. Rather than relying on stereotypes, we want to tell a story that is honest, compassionate and grounded in real-life experience. Our vision is to create a film that not only succeeds on the festival circuit but also starts meaningful conversations about the challenges faced by care-experienced young people and the importance of hope, resilience and second chances.

Where possible, we hope to cast young people with lived experience of the care system or recent care leavers, helping bring authenticity to the screen while creating opportunities for emerging talent who are often underrepresented in the film industry.

Although our cast and crew are contributing huge amounts of their time and expertise, filmmaking still comes with unavoidable costs. Every pound raised will go directly into the production of the film—not into company profits. Your support will help cover professional equipment, locations, insurance, production design, wardrobe, catering, travel expenses, post-production, original music, festival submissions and distribution.

We’ve already produced several independent short films on extremely limited budgets. With your help, ONE OUT ONE IN can become our most ambitious and impactful project yet.

By supporting this campaign, you’re not simply funding a film—you’re helping bring an important Scottish story to life and giving a voice to experiences that deserve to be heard.
