Aim
Supporting Oxfordshire families from different background regarding COVID by delivering family parcels, and show the community can.
One Family is a project of the Syrian Community Oxfordshire towards the wider community.
This project aims to support people with different needs. Understanding the emerging markets and quickly providing support to people in distress and unanticipated needs resulting from the COVID.
This project supports people who live in Abingdon, Kidlington, Witney, Wantage, Didcot, Bicester, Banbury, Oxford, and other some villages.
The project helps people from the elderly, vulnerable, refugees, and kids groups.
This project started in April 2020 with 80 families, recently it is supporting more than 400 families ( Approximitly 2000 people). Besides helping people who live in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
The project provides
- Family Food Parcel: fresh food and tins parcels.
- Cleaning equipment.
- Christmas Parcel for kids: ready meals, fresh food, tins, and Christmas sweets.
- Advice and support.
- Social Activities.
- Mental Health support: reduce domestic abuse and mental health problems regarding the lockdown.
- Ladies Social Activities.
- Young People Holiday Activities.
- Sport Activities
This project is needed to remove the stigma and have support delivered confidentially.
This fundraising will help sustain our serviceability to deliver essential services as the crisis evolves and goes beyond the crisis.
The money will be spent on running costs, fuel cost, Hiring venues, buying food and cleaning equipment, and volunteer expenses.
