Who am I?
Hello everyone! My name is Olivia Steer, and I've been passionately running since the age of 7. What began as a junior park run for fun quickly transformed into a love for running and a discovery of my natural talent. Achieving goals and winning races became my drive. Over time, I've enjoyed increasing success in various track and cross country competitions, representing my region and competing nationwide. I've proudly secured a spot in the UK top 10 of my age group.
Why Do I Need Your Support?
The journey has been incredible, but it comes with costs. Travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, and the necessary kit are adding up. My parents have been doing their best to support my dream, but I believe with your assistance, I can take the next step towards representing my country on the international stage.
What Have I Achieved So Far?
I'm thrilled to share the incredible achievements I've accomplished this year in track, road, and cross country running. These achievements have been the result of dedication and hard work.
Track Dominance:
- 2nd place in the SIAB International Schools Competition, 1500m, running for England.
- An impressive 2nd place in the English Schools Nationals U17s (2024) 1500m.
- South West Athletics League Championship Record.
- I've secured the title of Devon Schools 1500m champion.
- I'm also the reigning SW Schools 1500m champion.
- Back at Devon Championships, I once again became the 1500m champion.
- In the SW, I clinched the 1500m champion title.
- To top it off, I broke the 3000m record and won the SW Athletics League.
- At the Nationals 1500m, I was the fastest qualifier to the final and finished 6th.
- At the English Schools Nationals, I made it to the finals and secured the 9th position.
Cross Country Triumphs:
In cross country, I've consistently excelled:
- Devon Champs and SW Champs: I clinched the 1st position in both.
- Devon Schools: 2nd place.
- I dominated the Westward League, winning it six times in a row!
- At the Nationals, I achieved an impressive 7th place.
- SW Schools: Despite battling a cold, I secured the 10th position.
- English Schools Nationals: Another top 10 finish at 9th place.
Road to Success:
In the London Mini Marathon, I achieved a remarkable 12th place among tough competition.
Career Milestones:
- 2nd place representing England in International Schools (SIAB), U17s 1500m.
- 2nd in National Schools U17s 1500m at the age of 15.
- On the track, I've been a 7-time Devon Champion in the 1500m.
- I've also been crowned SW Champion in the 1500m six times.
- The SW Athletics League saw me as a 12-time winner in both 3000m and 1500 events.
The Next Step:
Now, I'm looking to push my limits even further and represent my region and country at the highest levels of competition. To achieve this, I need your support.
