Disabled Access & Gym Mats

Aim

We are funding for a Disabled Access Ramp and additional Mats to allow us to teach self defence to every single member of the community.

We are a Martial arts club within the Royton Area of Oldham in Greater Manchester, teaching Jujitsu to the local community.

Here's why we are asking for your help. 

When teaching self-defence you get to show people how to react in some hostile situations, not just fighting back but how to diffuse a situation. Not many martial arts clubs offer classes to everyone. And we really want to help those who in today's society could be a victim of crime. And that means everyone, men, women, children, additional needs or disability.

We already offer classes for Men, women, children and additional needs. So now we want to do a few things, we are extremely keen to start up a class for the disabled. But in order for us to do this, there are some improvements that must be made.

For allowing self-defence to be taught to everyone, We need ramps, to enable wheelchair access. Luckily it's only a threshold ramp we need. Once we have the ramps we will need another 30 mats for the floor, allowing full coverage. This will give enough room for people to train in a safe environment without risk to anyone.

And we would also love to raise enough money to spruce the place up. We want this community focused Martial Arts Club to be friendly, welcoming and professional.

To do that we are requesting your help, please spare anything you can for us to bring in more members of the community and train everyone the art of self-defence without ever having to turn anyone away.
