Aim: Our changing facilities are in desperate need of refurbishment to make them fit for purpose for the club, both today and the future.
We are Old Grammarians RFC, a grassroots rugby club with a proud history dating back to 1929. Based in Winchmore Hill, Enfield, we offer a welcoming home for rugby players of all ages, genders and backgrounds.
With over 800 members, 16 teams ranging from Minis to Seniors and 54 qualified coaches, we’re more than just a club - we’re a thriving, multi-generational community.
Whether it’s first-ever try scorers in the Minis or lifelong friendships formed in the clubhouse, Old Grammarians is where rugby and community spirit meet.
Thanks to a generous £40,000 grant from the Impact ’25 Programme, part of the legacy of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, we've started an exciting redevelopment project: new, modern and inclusive changing room facilities.
But the grant only gets us part of the way and to finish this project, we need your support.
Our current changing rooms are outdated and overcrowded, limiting when and how we can train and play - especially for our expanding women’s and girls’ teams. This project will give every team the space, dignity, and environment they deserve.
Your donations will help us create a facility that truly reflects who we are - inclusive, ambitious and built for the future.
Every pound we raise goes directly towards completing our new changing room block.
With the structural phase already funded from the RFU grant, your support will help us finish the job - turning a bare shell into a fully equipped, modern and inclusive facility.
Your donations will help us provide:
Upgraded hot water systems and showers
New walls, partitions and layout improvements
Electrical work with sustainable lighting
New toilets and vanity units
Fixtures and fittings, benches, dryers and hooks
Upgraded heating systems
Final finishes like painting, tiling and flooring
Old Grammarians isn’t just a rugby club - we’re a local hub.
Our clubhouse hosts school partnerships, social events and charity fundraisers. Our facilities support people from all walks of life, from toddlers in our Minis section to veteran players still enjoying the game.
Improving our changing rooms means we can open our doors even wider - to more women and girls, to community partners and to local schools and grassroots initiatives who need space to thrive.
This project is about more than bricks and mortar. It's about access, dignity, and creating a space where everyone belongs.
There are three simple ways you can help make this project a reality:
Make a pledge
If you're thinking of donating - do it today! Early momentum gives our campaign the best chance of success.
Spread the word
Share our project with your friends, family, teammates, and colleagues. The more people we reach, the more support we can gather.
Offer rewards
Are you a local business? Support the campaign by donating a service, product or experience we can offer as a reward. We'll promote your generosity and get people through your door.
Together, we can finish what we’ve started and build facilities that match the heart and ambition of our club.
