We're still collecting donations
On the 24th December 2022 we'd raised £10,030 with 41 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We would like to ask for your valuable support at this point in our journey and in return we will offer you a number of great rewards.

On the 24th December 2022 we'd raised £10,030 with 41 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We would like to ask for your valuable support at this key point in our growth journey and in return we will double your beer money or offer you additional rewards.
You will be supporting a successful and ambitious business that is working hard to create a welcoming and community sentric environment in the heart of Aberdeen, while at the same time looking to grow the brand internationally.
Your support will help OGV Taproom to reach more customers in domestic and international locations and develop our service offering.
We think this is not only a fantastic opportunity to join us at a key time and supercharge our growth plans, we believe we have some great rewards on offer in return.
The OGV Taproom story so far
OGV Taproom started as a concept in January 2020 as a hobby project and has slowly taken over our lives!
We wanted to start a future proof and fun business that was able to give back to the community in which it served and what better place to start than with 'Beer' - a product that helps to bring so many people together in good times!
After developing our strategy, we launched our first two beers (Rig Pig and Blowout) via our website in July and they sold out in three days.
Over the remainder of the year we worked on producing additional beers for the collection and speaking to our customers at farmers markets and craft festivals and eventually we opened our first 'OGV Taproom' in September 2021 spending over £420,000 in the set up.
From that moment on, we have been working hard to establish a customer base, renovate the premises and identify new markets to grow the OGV Taproom brand.
During this time we developed an events space called the 'OGV Podium' with a capacity of 450 people right next to the OGV Taproom and supported various clubs and associations within the local community with a venue. Whether it has been football clubs, rugby clubs, dance clubs, Drag nights, poetry clubs, local musicians or 'Rub-a-dub-dub-three-men-in-a-tub' clubs, they have all had a great time in the OGV Taproom and the OGV Podium is now a top venue for bands, comedians and event hire.
Community Support
Most recently, with the help of our local network, we have supported local charities ‘Community Outreach Group’ (COG) and ‘Aberdeen in Recovery’, by providing our venue and kitchen to support homeless people and people that are experiencing a tougher time during the hours that we are not open. We have also been able to provide clothing, sleeping bags, and medical items with the help of the local community.
Growing OGV Taproom over the next 5 years
Since establishing 'OGV Taproom - Aberdeen', we have been working on our first international location in Barbados and the opportunity to not only brew craft beer, but to launch our first spirit brand with 'El Sueno Rum'.
We have signed a lease, the brewery is currently being manufactured and we plan to open in January 2023.
Our plan is to open 5 other international venues over the next 5 years with additional taprooms in the UK.
Location, Location, Location
After exploring a number of international options, we have identified the Caribbean as an ideal location to start things off, with high tourist traffic from the UK, US and Canada. In addition, there is very little draught beer on the island and even less craft beer options but a high product demand.
Our first brewery in Barbados will have the capacity to support other Taprooms in the Caribbean and with export potential from this region high, it will also have the means to create a number of additional revenue streams.
The Plan
With your support, over the coming months the OGV Team will complete the final renovations to the Aberdeen Taproom and the construction and commissioning of the building works for the new brewery in Barbados and commence identification and build of the next Taprooms in the UK and the Caribbean.
The Opportunity
We have had such unbelievable support since launching OGV Taproom, during very difficult times for everyone and we want to build on that goodwill and give something back to the people that have supported us and will continue to do so.
We are looking to raise £10,000 in our first crowdfund to help us with the capital required to ensure stability in Aberdeen and support logistics and commissioning in Barbados and help us move forward to our next locations.
All rewards will be with you in December and drink rewards will start from January 2023.
