Your support can save lives this winter, helping people move through homelessness, find home and thrive
1,611 people died while homeless in the UK in 2024, 169 were rough sleeping. And there are now over 3,000 people classed as homeless in Milton Keynes. These numbers are unacceptable.
Help UnityMK fund its winter night shelters providing life saving accommodation and life giving support.
A donation of £19.66 covers the cost of a bed in our emergency accommodation during the coldest months of the year.
But it's more than just a bed, you’ll be giving people in crisis a hot meal, a warm safe place to sleep, hope for a fresh start and support from someone who cares.
Donations are match funded by Aviva – doubling the positive impact on our guests.

UnityMK - how we help those facing or experiencing homelessness
Imagine you suddenly become homeless and have nowhere to turn; you need a shower and clean clothes and to charge your phone. Where do you go?
UnityMK is the only walk-in service for those facing or at risk of homelessness in Milton Keynes.
Our team of part time staff, 450 volunteers, and 20 partner agencies deliver compassionate, person-centred care collectively helping our guests improve their wellbeing, break the cycle of homelessness and rebuild their lives with financial independence.
We support those in crisis and help them build long-term resilience by providing:
- Emergency accommodation: 15 warm, safe beds every evening during the coldest months of the year
- Practical support: Hot meals, clothing, toiletries, showers, laundry facilities
- Mental health & wellbeing support: On-site counselling, medical referrals, addiction support
- Administrative help: signposting to the right benefits, debt management support, employment opportunities and accommodation
