Purchase of 15 seater minibus

Aim

We wish to purchase a new 15 seater minibus to enable us to continue to provide a wheelchair accessible Ring and Ride service

We have a number of services available including Ring and Ride bus service, bus for lifestyle trips, two smaller wheelchair accessible vehicles for both transport to healthcare and social journeys plus a team of wonderful volunteer car drivers who last year drove over 111,000 miles around our very rural part of Devon taking clients to their appointments, to both local doctor and hospitals as well as the main hospitals in Exeter, Barnstaple, Plymouth and further afield when requested.  they donated over 10,565 hours helping our vulnerable clients who really appreciate the one to one service they receive from our caring volunteers.

We need to raise £78,000 to purchase a 15 seater minibus to replace the one we previously had on a lease agreement with Devon County Council.  This has now been withdrawn so we need to purchase our own vehicle to enable us to continue with the successful and much needed service we have been providing to our local area for the last 29 years.

We have a quotation from Mellor Coachcraft for the vehicle we require to allow us to order a suitable vehicle for our needs.

We have managed to raise £40,000 so far towards this total.
