The Village
“It takes a village to raise a child”
I want to bring back the village and bring back the support. Every parent at some stage will face difficulty. This can be anything from staying on top of the laundry to coping with perinatal depression and everything in between. For such a rewarding job it also creates many obstacles: guilt, self-doubt, feeling judged or misunderstood, dealing with physical changes, changes in relationships…. The list is endless and we are never alone…. Even when it feels like it. What if you had somewhere to go, someone to call or something to do to help you through those difficult moments. Somewhere safe, somewhere fun, somewhere with the information and support you need without any judgement.
Welcome to OBS a safe haven for Mothers to laugh, grow and share with people from different walks of life on the same journey. When you are able to immerse yourself in a role that provides a fantastic service and incredible value, it enables you to have the freedom to express your passion whilst helping others. This is what OBS is about. Only the Best Support.
OBS SERVICES
OBS Mums Club is our weekly meet up and I invite a professional service or business to support our demographic each week to provide information, advice or support.
OBS Fit Mums is a fitness group that allows mothers to work out with or without their children, gain strength and confidence and build friendships.
OBS Well Mums a collaboration with HashtagMe to provide a 12 week course for mums with resources and expertise to manage their emotions in a group setting.
OBS 4TSS - 4th Trimester Support Service. A postnatal service where a designated supporter will take care of the postnatal mother, run errands, help with daily tasks and monitor the mothers well being.
THE EXHIBITION
OBS Expo will bring all of these services together for a unique opportunity to have all of this information and support in one place with fun and entertainment for the family and some great engaging speakers and demonstrations.
As the business is only weeks old, it has not generated an income, however with the expo the business will have a much needed boost to become self sufficient. Resulting in more flexible work opportunities for mothers.
I will generate an income through the weekly groups where people pay to attend; As well as mum retreats, further exhibitions around the country, the launch of a new 4th trimester trimester support service and the launch of mums club and fit mums in the region.
