At Oasis Academy South Bank, we want all of our students to enjoy physical and mental wellbeing. With 58% of our students on pupil premium, we work really hard to ensure everyone can enjoy school and get the most out of it. However, as an inner city London school, we do not yet have access to outdoor spaces that would promote sport, gardening and other activities crucial to ensuring physical and mental health.
We need you to help us transform our undercroft and our playspace. We want to install sports equipment, get out students involved with gardening and eco/sustainability projects and create spaces for relaxation and enjoyment.
At a minimum, we're hoping to raise £2500. This would allow us to complete basic maintenance on both areas, including repairs, a new coat of paint and some updated sports and gardening equipment for students to use.
If we can raise our target of £5000, we can transform the undercroft into a sports area that will meet the needs and potential of all of our students, installing a broad range of permanent sports equipment. We could also fulfil ambition to create a nature garden and other sustainability projects in our upper place space.
For our donors, we will provide:
- regular updates via email, sharing photos and videos of the improved spaces;
- personal messages of thanks from our students; and
- opportunities to become further involved with the school and its projects.
