Neighbourhood Watch Network

RCN 1173349, London

We are a grassroots charity focused on crime prevention and community building. We have 2.3 million members, with local groups run by 90,000 volunteers. We provide a support network, resources and training. Our aim is to bring neighbours together to create strong, friendly, active communities where crime, antisocial behaviour and isolation are less likely to occur throughout England and Wales.

Neighbourhood Watch is known by many, but the depth and breadth of the work our amazing volunteers and workers do in communities is not always known. While providing crime prevention advice, up-to-date personal and property safety information, and linking neighbours together are our bread and butter, we also help supporters navigate their online lives safely and raise awareness of cybersecurity; encourage people to step-up as active bystanders to ensure victims of hate crime or street harassment feel supported and perpetrators unwelcome; we provide volunteers with tools to connect their communities and reduce social isolation; and motivate businesses, councils, MPs, other charities and individuals to sign up to our Community Charter to stamp our crime and antisocial behaviour on our streets. Since 2022 we have also escalated our engagement with young people, as we are committed to ensuring those aged 16-24 are represented and heard both within our organisation and within their own communities, helping to lead and shape the conversations around making those communities a better place to live.

By supporting Neighbourhood Watch Network, you are enabling our very small central staff team of 8 people to serve our >90k volunteers and 2.3 million members with advice, support, networks, training and unique projects that matter and make a tangible difference. We understand and listen to communities across England and Wales. We care about neighbours and neighbourhoods - whether you are a homeowner or renter, a doctor or a student, a family or an individual, 25 or 75!
