To raise the funds required for printing issue 3 of NRTH LASS magazine. As a self-funded, part-time venture we would appreciate any help.
NRTH LASS was established in September 2017 by Jessica Howell and Jenna Campbell, friends and colleagues. Having noticed a lack of media coverage of the Northern regions, we felt moved to create a platform which would celebrate the amazing women living and working in the North of England.
Born and bred in Bradford and Manchester respectively, we wanted to showcase the talent from across the north as a way to prove that a nourishing and successful career can be enjoyed no matter where you are from.
Covering Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield and Newcastle, and the interlinking communities, NRTH LASS shares the stories of the women who have shaped the region and are paving their own way.
As well as being a print magazine and online platform, NRTH LASS functions as a network for women, bringing together individuals from across industries as a place of inclusion and valued opinions. With a real focus on independents and community spirit, our network is constantly expanding and allowing for meaningful connections across the north.
Having successfully launched two print editions since 2017 and having spoken on a number of panels and platforms on the value of the north, the third issue of the independent publication, on the theme of trailblazers, is ready to hit shelves.
We both have full-time jobs in editorial and communications which means that the magazine is what some would call a "side-hustle" meaning we self-fund to cover the costs of design and printing.
With this in mind, we would love if our brilliant followers and supporters could help us raise £1000 to cover the printing and distribution costs of issue 3 - even £1 would make all the difference.
Once we have hit the target and launched issue 3, we are going to hold a big launch party to say thank you to all those who have offered their support and help in getting the third issue to print, with a panel discussion in the pipeline with some of the women featured in the third edition, plus more to be unveiled.
Thank you!
Jenna and Jess
