NOW! CHARITY GROUP LTD

Our vision is a thriving community, free of local poverty, where equality and sustainability are at the forefront of our values. Through our values of Inclusivity, leading social change, and sustainability, we fight local poverty and climate change in East Sussex.

We fulfil our mission through our two branches:

  • Furniture Now! Our retail branch collects, up-cycles, and sells pre-loved furniture with essential discounts for customers on low income, working with Citizens Advice and local Councils on resettlement programs for homeless people and refugees.

“Some people have nothing. Some people just have a mattress on the floor. Tiny. Sometimes it's three or four people in one room, kids included.” - Dave, Delivery Driver

“The way you engage them is remarkable, meeting them wherever they are at and acknowledging how difficult it may have been just to walk through the door to ask for support, never judging, always praising” - Jen, Key Worker, ESCC

“If anyone local wants to donate any furniture, I can highly recommend Furniture Now! They have just been and collected from us and the furniture goes to local people in need.” - Jilly, Furniture Now! customer

  • Community Now! Our programs branch, distributing small grants to local and sustainable projects, running our Community Sheds and repair cafes, and now distributing free period products through our stores.

“Thanks again for the funding for the reuseable nappy packs.  I bought 12 packs which I’ve mostly distributed and the families who’ve had them have been very pleased to save on nappy costs and to reduce landfill.” – Nicola, Baby bank & Beyond

"Nice to see a charity invest in tackling REAL issues!" - Susan, reacting on Facebook about our Period Poverty campaign
