What started as a weekly recreational session quickly grew into a thriving basketball community, bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. As players developed their skills and passion for the game, the demand for competitive opportunities continued to grow. This led to the formation of Nottingham Wolves, giving local players the chance to compete at local, regional and national level while continuing to represent the values of community, inclusivity and development.
Today, Nottingham Wolves is much more than a basketball team. We are a community where young people build confidence, adults stay active, friendships are formed and everyone is welcomed regardless of experience or financial circumstances.

Our journey so far as Nottingham Weekly Basketball Club has taken us to 160 members in one year, with 40 players playing organised, competitive basketball in the National Basketball League (NBL), Sherwood Basketball League (SBL) and Your Basketball League (YBL).
Last season we went from being the most doubted team, to the most exciting team to come out of Nottingham in recent years. Competing in the Sherwood Basketball League, we finished with an amazing 16 wins out of 24 games with an 8 game win streak.
Our ambition is to create opportunities for every player to enjoy basketball—whether they simply want to have fun, improve their health or compete at the highest level possible. This will include an Academy, focused on the young girls and boys of Nottingham and a women's team to compete in the Maid Marian League.
Basketball continues to grow rapidly across Nottingham, and so does the demand for Nottingham Wolves. Every season we welcome new players wanting to join our community, but the costs of running a competitive basketball club continue to increase.

We are crowdfunding to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent talented and passionate players from representing Nottingham Wolves.
The money raised will help us cover the essential costs of delivering a successful season, including:
By reducing the financial burden on players and volunteers, we can continue providing affordable opportunities while ensuring our teams are professionally run and sustainable.
Every pound raised helps create opportunities for local players to develop both on and off the court.
We believe it's important that every donation directly benefits our players and community.

Nottingham Wolves exists to do much more than win basketball games.
We use basketball as a vehicle to improve physical health, mental wellbeing and community cohesion across Nottingham.
Our programmes bring together people from different backgrounds, cultures and communities through a shared love of sport. We provide positive role models, safe environments and opportunities for young people to stay active, develop confidence and build lifelong friendships.
We are committed to making basketball accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, ethnicity, gender or financial circumstances.
Alongside our competitive teams, we continue to support recreational basketball through Nottingham Weekly Basketball, providing affordable opportunities for people who simply want to enjoy the game, improve their fitness or meet new people.
As the club grows, our vision is to create clear pathways from community participation through to competitive basketball while continuing to remove barriers that prevent people from accessing sport.
By supporting Nottingham Wolves, you're not just helping a basketball team—you are investing in healthier communities, positive opportunities for young people and a stronger future for basketball in Nottingham.
