We Will Not Be Silenced is a short film currently in the pre-production process in partnership with the National Youth Film Academy.
We're a group of young filmmakers currently undertaking the National Youth Film Academy's (NYFA) 'Set Ready' course. In partnership with NYFA, we aim to bring our vision for 'The Pankhurst Tribe' to life.
Set in the near future, the film follows a group of young rebels, The Pankhurst Tribe, in the aftermath of a tyrannical Prime Minister coming into power. As the new PM begins legislating new laws and removing certain rights from female citizens, The Pankhurst Tribe work effortlessly to overthrow the oppressive new government.
Our Teaser Trailer:
Our team consists of 20 young adults (11 Actors, 9 Crew members) between the ages of 18-27, all of which specialise in different areas.
All money raised by our Crowdfunder will be used to help fund various aspects of our production. From renting locations & hiring equipment, to Hair, Makeup and Costumes.
Any and all donations are incredibly appreciated and will greatly help our project become a reality.

BUDGET BREAKDOWN
What will your contribution help fund? Let’s break it down.

KIT
Plain and simply the bread & butter of every film. From the camera itself, to the lenses used while filming. From the sound equipment to the lighting. This section of our budget will arguably be the most important part of helping our film become a reality.
CATERING
No one likes working on an empty stomach! Our group consists of 20 people, all of which will naturally work up quite an appetite whilst working hard on the film's production over 4-5 days. This section of the budget will go towards feeding all 20 of our Cast & Crew throughout the week of shooting.
PROPS & PRODUCTION DESIGN
If the Kit Section is the bread & butter of our film, then the Props & Production Design is the seasoning to really give it some flavour. Set Dressing & a solid understanding of Production Design will allow us to fully realize our vision for the film.
COSTUMES
Similar to Props & Production Design, our Costumes will play a pivotal role in helping us bring our vision to life. From well tailored suits for our Government Characters (the Prime Minister & his PA) to body armour for our Rebel characters, we’ll be using every penny of our Costumes budget to give our audience the most immersive experience possible while watching the film.
LOCATIONS
This section of our budget will be used to rent certain shooting locations throughout the duration of our 4-5 day shoot. While a variety of our locations will be based outside (meaning they won’t have any renting costs), we still have a few shooting locations based indoors that will require certain fees to be paid.
TRAVEL
Despite our production being shot entirely in Greenwich, we will naturally have quite a lot of equipment to transport. Because of this, we have decided to rent a Rental Car for the week of production, which will allow us to not only transport equipment to & from set, but also transport certain members of our Cast & Crew should they need it. Bus & Tube travel will also be covered by this section of our budget.

MEET THE DIRECTOR
Introducing Joshua Anthony-Jones as our Director!
From an early age, Josh had a keen interest in Film. However, lacking the knowledge of how to harness it, he directed his talent towards the Theatre Industry in which he has excelled.
Whilst studying Acting at Bournemouth University, Josh was given a taste of the film industry and has been pursuing it ever since. Josh is an Actor-Director which he believes helps him understand what pressures the actors are going through on set and allows him to relate to their problems / worries.
Josh has a real thirst for creativity in many forms. He is drawn to creating films that are in some aspects true to life and are inspired by parallels of true events. Working class roots will run through his future films and Gritty Dramas will always be his main focus.
Josh is incredibly excited to start work on the film and looks forward to telling this story with his unique vision.
