Who are we?
North Walkden FC is a FA Charter Standard grassroots Football Club. We are based in Little Hulton, Salford, Manchester.
Community Impact:
NWFC are proud to have provided football in the community since we were established 1992.
Currently, we have 26 Teams covering ages from u6's right up to open age and a vets team. we also have a Football Development Centre / Soccer School which develops young players, preparing them to play in a team.
Why are we crowdfunding?
For years we have provided fantastic football coaching to children in the area, on what can only be described as 'less than ideal' facilities.
North walkden have a great success rate in terms of the players we produce, we have even produced some PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS.
Year after year players progress from our club to join local professional team academies such as Manchester United, City, Liverpool, Everton and Bolton. This goes to show the quality of the coaching and development at NWFC.
Despite numerous promises from the local council to better our facilities, sadly for the children of NWFC this hasn't happened.
As a club we have decided to take the matter into our own hands, to provide the current and future players of our fantastic club with a place they can call their 'footballing home'.
Unfortunately the amount of money needed isn't something the club can provide itself. Funds held by the club often go towards ensuring children from less privileged backgrounds can enjoy the sport they love.
Our aim is to raise £40,000 to part fund the development of a safe facility which would be used by the current and future NWFC teams.
We all know how important sports is for children and the local community. Football provides many children with much needed:
- Exercise
- Team work skills
- Opportunities for social and emotional development
- Most of all a sense of belonging.
How we’ll spend the money raised
All money raised will be spent directly on building our own official clubhouse which would include, 2 block changing room (Home & Away), a referee room, showers etc.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Create a fundraiser of your own. Use the button on our page to get started. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
