Northampton Saints Hockey Club Pitch Together Fund

Aim
Northampton HC is taking the pitches on a lease to secure them for the next 15-30 years and refurbishing one pitch next year.
Who are we?
We are a community sports club with 350 club members and 150 casual community members across 15 local schools, providing sport for people aged 4 to 70, working with 15 schools delivering hockey in the community, we are a not for profit organisation run by volunteers.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are looking to crowdfund to reduce the the amount of risk in taking over the pitch we use.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We are borrowing £275k to replace and maintain our pitch, taking on a long lease and becoming financially independent, We have grants from the council that we hope to receive so a crowdfunding campaign of £20k will get us over the line. Sport England will contribute £10,000 in match funding when we reach £10,000 from contributions from 25 different people.
Community impact
Our pitch is used by multiple organisations, the Hockey Club, 15 community football organisations, the local School Games, the facilities are an integral part of local primary and secondary school hockeyprogramme where we run festivals across 15 schools and 500 puils who play hockey across the year.
