Aim

Community-led safeguarding network. We spot risks early, support vulnerable people educate communities & connect people to the right support

I created NESN because I know what it feels like when the systems meant to protect you fail.

I’m a survivor, a former worker in youth offending and a trained counsellor. Through my own experiences, and those of others I’ve supported, I’ve seen how easily warning signs can be missed, concerns can go unheard and people can be left without the protection they need.

Rather than accept that this is how things have to be, I decided to turn my experiences into something positive.

NESN is my way of helping build safer communities through early intervention, safeguarding awareness, education, training and stronger community connections.

I’m starting this because I believe prevention matters. I want to help make sure that other children, young people, vulnerable adults and survivors don’t have to experience the same failures.

This is personal to me — but NESN is for everyone.
