Aim
We are looking for donations to cover the cost of keeping local residents informed about the new Taylor Wimpey housing development proposal.
We are a local village association run by residents who care about our community and who wish to protect its special character and its amenities.
We maintain a website on which we post articles about planning applications and other matters of interest, and we issue regular newsletters to the subscribers to our mailing list to keep local residents informed about such developments.
Right now, our way of life in Normandy is facing an existential threat in the form of the stated intent of a major housebuilder to build hundreds of houses on Green Belt land at the heart of our community.
For years we have run our association with the support of small grants from the Parish and County Councils, and have not asked for a subscription from those on our mailing list. However, because of this new threat we have had to mobilise additional resources, and need donations to cover, for now, the costs of printing leaflets and flyers to raise awareness, and moving to a paid-for email platform to cater for our increasing number of subscribers to our list.
Please support us if you care about the Green Belt and do no not wish to see Normandy become an urban agglomeration. Thank you.
