Help raise £30k towards opening a brand new British comfort food restaurant in Plymouth, from the team behind Zephyr Burgers!

Last week we successfully opened NORA'S to the public and it was great to see the months of hard work pay off. The feedback has been fantastic and we're really excited about the future of the restaurant. 

It has been a massive push to get to this point with Sheena and I doing a lot of the work ourselves alongside trying to be good parents for our 3 year old son Axel, so apologies that we haven't had much time to look after the crowdfunder side of things so here is a little update:

We had taken advice to switch the format to a prize draw so made moves to bundle some of the bigger rewards into this as a prize. Unfortunately we were still a long way off our target so have extended the end date to try and get to this point.

You may be asking why we still need the money if we're open? To be honest now its crunch time with a lot of the invoices becoming due and unfortunately some of the second hand kit we acquired with the site is also failing and needs to be replaced urgently. It's also become apparent that we need much more fridge space, especially if we are to run breakfast as planned. 

Anyway lets get onto the prize - we're giving away one Zephyr Burgers black card which  will entitle the winner to a  free burger a day (*T&C's Apply See Below), also a meal for 4 including drinks at NORA'S worth over £240, a burger workshop with me, a pizza masterclass with Ali at Knead, Brunch for 2 at Minerva and a selection of food and drinks books. FROM ZEPHYR BURGERS TO NORA'S

In 2020 we relocated from London back to Oz's home town of Plymouth and brought our business Zephyr Burgers with us! Slinging smash patty cheeseburgers from a back lane in Mutley, word started to spread and we had people coming from far and wide to try our food. Thanks to all those lovely people we were fortunate enough to open our first sit down restaurant. The result was and still is a burger restaurant like none other, deeply focused on serving excellent food consistently. 

Now it's time to spread our wings and set our sights on a brand new dining experience for Plymouth. We're talking about NORA'S - a place for great British(ish) comfort food with a modern creative approach, served to you in the most unpretentious way. NORA'S is a place for all and a celebration of excellent food, lovely drinkable wines and excellent cocktails. A place for a quick bite, a romantic meal or that big birthday with all your mates gathered around a big table. Yes NORA'S will have space for your big groups in your very own private dining space!

We think this is what Plymouth needs and it's what Plymouth deserves! This is the food we love to cook and eat and we can't wait to share it with you!

DRY AGED STEAKS

AMAZING PRODUCE

At NORA'S we will work with the same amazing suppliers that we already work with at Zephyr, a few more so we can ensure that we are always getting the best of the best. And heres the cool part: We believe that the best steaks are cut from heavily dry aged beef and that's why at NORA'S we plan to invest in our own dry ager so we can dial in that super beefy flavour! If you love a good steak - we think you'll be quite fond of NORA'S! This along with super thick pork chops, 24 hour brined chicken and a selection of sides that will make you want to order everything on the menu! Why not have a sneak peek at the sample menu below!

THE MENU

With a small courtyard out the back we will be able to install a wood fired grill so that NORA'S can run live fire BBQ feasts in those warmer summer months. But whilst the cold is settled in NORA'S will be your new destination for a banging Sunday roast! 

We've made some excellent progress in the space but as you can imagine things are expensive these days - especially specialist cooking equipment! And that's where you awesome folks come in. We're hoping to raise £30k to help buy the dry aging fridge and some kit for the kitchen to help ensure we're cooking consistently great food.
