Aim

To fund the transportation back to Fife of steam loco NCB No29, dismantling & boiler inspection to ascertain costs for full return to steam.

Shed47 Railway Restoration Group, based at Lathalmond, Dunfermline, Fife have been given the opportunity to bring ex National Coal Board  No29 , an Andrew Barclay steam locomotive, back to Fife.

The locomotive, delivered new to Mary Pit at Lochore, then worked at:

Lindsay Colliery (Kelty), Cowdenbeath Central Workshops, Bogside Colliery (Fife) and finally Frances Colliery (Kirkcaldy).

This current funding effort will allow us to cover the costs of transport, crane hire, boiler inspection (to ascertain amount of work & cost to bring it back to working order) and initial dismantling of components.

This project successfully funded on 21st May 2017
